A golden jalapeno created by the Texas Agriculture Extension Service. The Jaloro Jalapeno is the first ever golden jalapeno. Peppers transition from golden yellow to orange before ripening red. These offer disease resistance from TMV, and six other common pepper viruses. Peppers are milder than a traditional jalapeno topping out right around 5,000SHU when ripe. Peppers can be eaten at any stage, but will be hotter when fully ripe.
