The only non-red variety of the 10 Hangjiao Peppers that were originally bred in China after sending seeds into orbit to expose them to radiation and promote mutations for larger fruit, more fruit, and higher vitamin concentrations. The Solar Flare is a cayenne like pepper that ripens to bright orange with hundreds of fruit per plant. Easy to grow, fast to ripen, and delicious to eat. Sharp stinging heat that is roughly 15,000-20,000 SHU. These are a favorite in the garden because the plant is so covered in orange fruit that you almost mistake it for flowers!
