A really interesting annuum grown in Nepal, Bhutan, and Northeastern India under several diffferent names including Akabare Chilli, Dalle, and Dalla. Recent research has indicated it is polyploid, containing double the normal amount of chromosomes as a typical pepper plant! That may account for some of its unique characteristics. It tends to grow very tall before branching and seems especially hot and quite juicy for an annuum. A late fruiter. Pods have some varation from round to pointy and are under an inch long.
