Midwest Onyx Candy has really grown on me the last couple of years. These have foliage that is slightly dark, and the peppers look almost black and ripen to red. It only grows to about a foot tall, so it makes a great container pepper. Usually, ornamental peppers don't taste all that great. I really like the taste of this one though. When ripe, the peppers taste sweet, crunchy, and somewhat juicy. These seeds are F6, so this variety shouldn't change much from here.
